With a passionate audience and unique content, Lifetime wanted new ways for the more than 2.5 million women per month that visit mylifetime.com to enjoy their Lifetime Original Movies.
Working with Gotuit, they launched Lifetime Movie Mash-up where viewers can:
- watch Lifetime Original Movies, with scene-by-scene navigation,
- define new scenes by marking the start and stop times, then adding their own metadata information (title, description, thumbnail, and tags) to the scene,
- arrange scenes, defined by Lifetime, the other users, or themselves, into Mash-ups,
- save and share Mash-ups with others.
"Lifetime Movie Mash-ups fundamentally changes how we can engage our broadband video viewer and promote our Lifetime movies," said Kimberly Dobson, VP Business Development, Digital Media, Lifetime Networks.
All the content presentation, navigation, and mash-up features are enabled using Gotuit's PowerVideo Suite which harnesses a new level of video metadata. The original, full-length movies are never altered or edited in any way.
