Capitol Records Nashville, part of EMI, the world’s largest independent music company, was looking for a way to turbocharge the launch of one of their newest artists, Luke Bryan, and his debut album, I’ll Stay Me.
Using Gotuit, Luke Bryan Remixed was created to allow fans to access all of Luke’s videos, including his original music video for his hit single All My Friends Say, three live concert videos, and behind the scenes footage. Gotuit’s professional services customized the look of the video application to match the theme of LukeBryan.com.
In addition, users can remix their own music video of All My Friends Say, by taking different sample video segments, or defining their own segments, from the Luke Bryan video archive. The segments play on an audio bed of the original song, creating the new music video.
For the viewer, the resulting remix behaves like a new video – it can be shared via a permanent URL or embedded into another web page. However, for Capitol Records, there is no additional video to store as the Gotuit technology creates the experience simply using a metadata file associated with the user.
