Gotuit Media Launches Gotuit On Demand with EasyView™

Newest product embeds navigation elements inside video files,
can be deployed immediately to all VOD systems

Woburn, MA (April 9, 2006) - Gotuit Media, the leader in personalized video-on-demand products, announced today the availability of its latest offering - Gotuit On Demand with EasyView™. This product is now offered in addition to the company’s flagship navigation technology, Gotuit On Demand™, across all of Gotuit’s on-demand products: Gotuit Music™, Gotuit Sports™, Gotuit News™, and Gotuit Entertainment™.

Most importantly, it does not require any new software in the set-top box or head-end infrastructure and can therefore be deployed today to any video-on-demand system. For the first time, Gotuit’s products are now immediately available to everyone; allowing operators, advertisers, and viewers alike to get more from on-demand.”

EasyView uses on-screen visual cues to deliver playlists of content that can be easily navigated with standard fast forward and rewind controls. Viewers can choose a playlist of content and see this list on the left side of their screen. As the content is played, it automatically expands to fill the screen. At the end of the segment, the playlist is displayed again as the next segment begins. Banner advertising is present as well as the ability to associate interstitial video ads between segments. Advertisers are also able to sponsor particular video channels or playlists. “An important benefit to the operator is the ability to monetize their VOD content using this novel navigation approach,” added O’Brien.

Gotuit’s current product, Gotuit On Demand™, combines segment-level metadata with on-demand video content, which lets the user instantly access the precise asset or segment they want to watch. It also enables a personalized video experience, such as fantasy sports powered by Gotuit that shows video highlights of each subscriber’s individual team.
