Mark Pascarella
President & CEO

Mark Pascarella is President & CEO of Gotuit Media Corp. As one of Gotuit's founding investors, Mark has been a member of the company's Board of Directors since inception and joined Gotuit full-time in 2001. Under Pascarella's direction, Gotuit has pioneered video discovery / monetization and has become the leading provider of next-generation video products for multiple platforms including broadband, mobile, and cable.

Before joining Gotuit, Pascarella teamed up with Sidney Topol, the former Chairman and CEO of Scientific-Atlanta (Cisco), to found The Topol Group, an early-stage investment firm. In addition to Gotuit, The Topol Group's investments include broadband router manufacturer RiverDelta Networks (Motorola), cable services provider Navic Networks, and VoIP switch maker Cedar Point Communications. From 1992 to 1997, Pascarella worked in Business Development at Procter & Gamble.

He holds a BS in Management from Bucknell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

 

 

David Leibowitz

David Leibowitz brings thirty years of experience providing thought leadership for key business, law and policy issues facing the entertainment, new media and consumer electronics industries. Among his many endeavors, Leibowitz served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), responsible for business, policy and legal issues facing the industry with particular emphasis on how to position the industry to best utilize new physical formats and electronic delivery platforms. David Leibowitz also Co-Founded and served as chairman for VERANCE, a leading audio watermark technology provider offering solutions to protect, manage, and monitor audio and audiovisual content, including the new HD-DVD and Blu-Ray formats. Earlier in his career, Leibowitz was a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm Wiley Rein & Fielding representing a number of Fortune 100 media and entertainment companies. David Leibowitz also has served as Policy Planning Advisor to the Register of Copyrights for the U.S. Copyright Office and as an adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Miami Law School and the Communications Law Institute of the Columbus School of Law (Catholic University).

Leibowitz will continue his role as Managing Partner of CH Potomac, a strategic services firm working with companies at the intersection of entertainment, media and technology.

 

 

Patrick Donovan
VP & General Manager

Patrick Donovan joined Gotuit after over ten years of senior management, the last five in interactive TV media hardware and software organizations.

Prior to joining Gotuit, he directed Motorola’s Whole-Home Media Solution products, including Whole-Home DVR - Motorola’s first networked solution for set top boxes. He joined Motorola when Motorola acquired Ucentric Systems, where he was Vice President of Product Management. He led the product management of the Ucentric Digital Home Solution, a suite of software products that delivered whole-home media solutions, including Whole-Home DVR, Music, Photos, and other applications. Ucentric’s software was licensed by Motorola, Voom, HP, and DirecTV. He also secured agreements with major service providers, including Comcast, AT&T Broadband, Rogers Cable, and Cablevision. He previously served as Director of Operations for CareTools, Inc., an enterprise software provider to the healthcare industry. He began his career in management consulting organizations Grant & Partners and Symmetrix.

Donovan earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master's of Business Administration degree with Honors from Harvard Business School.

 

 

Eric B. Sackowitz
Vice President of Operations

Mr. Sackowitz oversees Gotuit’s Professional Services and Operations organization. This encompasses client account management, video on demand content and metadata production, corporate Information Technology, systems and software deployment, field network operations (NOC), and software engineering efforts responsible for developing Gotuit’s proprietary metadata authoring/distribution toolset.

Prior to joining Gotuit, Mr. Sackowitz was the Director of Technology Operations for Perceptive Informatics, a thought leader and service provider in clinical trial and medical imaging interactive voice and internet powered technologies. Previously, he held the position of Director of Broadcast Information Technology for CBS/Viacom Corporation in Boston, where he developed and managed their first cross-functional broadcast IT infrastructure, in addition to, pioneering the company’s successful conversion to an all digital content delivery architecture for multiple radio and television outlets.

He holds a BS in Business and Marketing from the State University of New York at Albany.

 

 

Dan Gill
Vice President of Business Development

Prior to joining Gotuit, Dan Gill served as the Vice President of Sales at m-Qube, now part of Verisign, and a market leader in the mobile media enablement industry providing premium content and connectivity services to more than 200 million wireless subscribers across North America. At m-Qube, Dan established the global sales strategy leading m-Qube to be named the fastest growing New England Company based on revenue and eventual acquisition by Versign. Prior to m-Qube, Dan managed the Central and West Region sales teams for Gryphon Networks, Inc., a privately held ASP that enables privacy compliance solutions for the nation's largest banking, financial and insurance institutions where he was responsible for helping shape sales strategy, competitive positioning and team structure. Prior to Gryphon, Dan served as a Director for Altio Inc., a privately held XML and Web Services Application Development Platform provider where he founded the U.S. Operations group and built the sales, operational and human resources infrastructure for what eventually became it's Global Headquarters. Dan has also held senior sales and business development roles for the Yankee Group and American Power Conversion.

Dan has a B.A. in Economics from Williams College and is active member and fundraiser for Big Brothers of Massachusetts Bay.
